Reducing equipment-theft incidents by 41% across a national tower network

Challenge
The operator's tower network spanned thousands of sites with inconsistent local guarding arrangements. Equipment theft followed clear patterns no one had mapped, and field engineers faced rising safety risk.
Approach
We profiled six months of theft data, identified the operational pattern, re-assessed 320 highest-risk sites, redesigned guarding rotations around the threat pattern, and added human-source intelligence in three regional hotspots.
Outcome
Equipment-theft incidents fell 41% within six months. Field-engineer escort coverage doubled. Three repeat offenders were identified and handed to law enforcement.
“They did the work nobody else was willing to do — actually map the pattern, not just respond to last night's incident.”

- Reduction in equipment-theft incidents
